Murray on GBS webcast

   Discussion: Murray on GBS webcast
lynda · 20 years, 1 month ago

Hello, and I hopeI am putting this in the right place, and apologies for not thinking about you folks sooner - it's not like I haven't met some great Fruvous fans at recent GBS shows.

There's currently a webcast available at http://speed.sympatico.ca/msn/startcast/music/concerttour/index.html of a November 2004 GBS show in Toronto. Lots of Murray in this one, plus even more good music overall. It was suppposed to be subscriber-only for Bell Sympatico folks, but for now seems to be available to most people, at least those with high speed, for the time being, at least.

For those who can't see it, there are a set of uploads onto yousendit.com available at this site http://www.myfreebulletinboard.com/f/index.php?mforum=delaney&act=idx Check out the GBS Media Conference, a thread called Sympatico Webcast. Lots of other interesting files being shared in this conference, some prior to Murraydom with GBS. You don't have to register for the board toaccess the downloads or read the posts, only if you want to post there, which would bevery nice. It's the place where most of the online GBS fans are located these days, not the official GBS web board, for reasons too complicated to explain.

For those who don't know, GBS has just started a "long hiatus". I known that's a too-familiar word to all of those here. I've been lurking around on this site, hoping to hear some word of Murray - any clue where one goes to find out about the Lesters, by any chance?

Wow... I didn't even realize that Great Big Sea went "on hiatus". Here's an article about that.

I think Murray is just bad luck. Every band he gets into goes "on hiatus"... Moxy Fruvous, Great Big Sea, now the Jayne Waynes...

In case anyone wanted to see this, and hasn't downloaded it, I'm seeding a bit torrent of the webcast. http://www.dgodwin.com/tracker
