Questions about Torrents

I just got the software for torrents and the most recent one. It doesn't seem that there are any more that I can access though. Is there some way for me to get at the already posted torrents, or do I have to wait for new ones?

On a slightly different note, I have been reading some of the older posts and I must admit that I understand little of the technology. What is reseeding, and why is it necessary? I just clicked on the link and waited for it to finish downloading...

unless someone has the file on their harddrive... and their bittorrent software running and offerring it for download (seeding) you won't be able to download it.

I, at this point, no longer have any of the torrent files... but I'm sure if you want something specific, SOMEONE on here would be able to reseed it for ya.
