How did I know that this was a Lawrence poll? :)

I have yet to pre-order the US version cause I will probably be one of those lunatics standing on line to buy it at a midnight book-selling party.
lawrence Back · 20 years, 2 months ago
hee! could it possibly have anything to do with my screen name? :)

I actually just realised that the poll options don't technically work for my plan, which is to stand in line at midnight to buy it on July 16, then buy the British version when it comes out in paperback. But I'm excited enough to have picked the first option anyway. :)

I'll be buying directly from the bookstore only because when you pre-order, you don't get it for days.
Mollie Back · 20 years, 2 months ago
I ordered it from Amazon.com. The last book in the series was waiting on my front doorstep early the morning of its release. That's good enough for me.

Likewise, I'm excited about the new book. mugglenet.com and jkrowling's website have been on a list of sites to check daily for quite some time, as I've been waiting for news about the new book. I haven't pre-ordered yet, but I may because I just got a $50 gift card to media play for my b-day. For OOTP, I ended up deciding to pick up the book on midnight...

i'm sort of with you, i have the british version pre-ordered. but i wont stand in line @ midnight, i'll go the next day :P

I'm not excited but I dont' think that those who are, are freaks. I'll read it when someone I know buys it, finishes it, then lends it to me. I won't spend time or effort on it.
nate... Back · 20 years, 2 months ago
yeah, that's almost exactly my feeling.... except that I probably will buy it myself.

I haven't even read the current newest book yet....

neal will buy it, and i'll borrow it when he's done. i'm excited because i really dig the story, and the world jkr has created...but i'm praying to any and all deities that someone actually edits this one.
Mollie Back · 20 years, 2 months ago
Unfortunately, according to many, JKR is her own deity, and therefore it may not get edited. :)
Josh Woodward · 20 years, 2 months ago
I don't read fiction, but I'll probably see the movie when it comes out on HBO. :)

i told you! they're they're!
Prinut · 20 years, 2 months ago
I don't read Harry Potter, but I do read fiction. And I don't think those who are excited are freaks...so I chose the last option, even though I don't think I'm too good for the choices.

i tried to read the first book. i tried to read the fourth book. i tried to read both of them again a year later. i couldn't get past the halfway point each time, and getting there was a struggle.

i find Harry Potter really darn boring.

so nope, i'm not going to read the book or get all excited about it. i have plenty of other stuff to fangirl about :P
Doktor Pepski, kommie · 20 years, 2 months ago
After i finish reading the goblet of fire (yep, late on the bandwagon jumping,) and I read order of the phoenix, after borrowing that from a friend. yes, i will be all a gas with reading it:)
meh · 20 years, 2 months ago
While I am oh-so-happy and excited about it...
I'm just as excited about the next Women of the Otherworld book coming out. Which will be in June sometime.
