haha, i saw a commercial for ROTK:EE and it said "NOW 50 MINUTES LONGER!" and i'm thinking "only this fandom would be make a statement like this a selling point."

it's not like any commercial goes "NAVY SEALS SPECIAL EDITION - NOW AN EXTRA 50 MINUTES!"

haha. "ooh! navy seals!"

"What would you get for a six-year-old who chronically wets his bed?"

"Do you have that one with that guy who was in the movie that was out last year?"

My favorite was one from the Quick Stop sequence immediately following...

I don't mind the length so much, as long as it's useful length and not I-get-paid-by-the-word filler.

Order of the Phoenix will be so easy for them to make into a movie despite its length because of all the 'duplicate' scenes. (I mean, really, how many times will they show the DA practising? Or how many times will Harry shout at Umbridge in the movie? not more than once, I'm sure)

The last couple could have been improved by cutting out half the words.

On the bright side maybe they'll get kids to not be afraid of big books. I know as a kid I used think that was a plus. I still do.

there's nothing wrong with big books, unless they're only big because they're PADDED WITH THOUSANDS OF COMPLETELY USELESS ELLIPSES.

transcribing it so I have an online version, though, and adding new information we find out to the wiki I'm creating (although the nice thing about that is I'll have the help of anonymous internet strangers :) that can take a bit of time...

i'm excited about it coming out, i'll probably get it when it does.

but. i'm not super excited about the news. when i first heard about it today, i checked jkr's website... but i dunno.

it feels too much like they've dragged things out for publicity.

as much as i loved PoA, i felt that the film was geared towards people who had read the books, i know several people who watched the film, who hadn't read the books, and there were parts where they were confused, when they shouldn't have been--as the clarifying information was provided in the book.

OotP was over-hyped, and like carey said, in dire need of an editor.

so i dunno. i'm looking forward to it in a way. but i'm not really excited.

see, i am a freak about finding out what happens, whether is shitty or not :P

if i'm reading a series and it leave a cliffhanger I HAVE TO READ THE NEXT ONE RIGHT AWAY.

this stems from the stupid cliffhangers in BSC, i know it. THEY HAVE RUINED ME :P

or if i'm watching a movie that has a sequel, no matter how bad the sequel is, if i'm into the story I MUST FIND OUT. :P
