im having some trouble, could someone help me out again in how to make torrent files i can upload?
3 of these shows have been reseeded, thankyou very much! i removed those three shows from the above list, but i added two shows (the last two shows on the list) that were uploaded to the tracker very recently but at the moment have no seeders. i have download 64 percent of one of them and 11 percent of the other.
also, i still have not been shown how to create torrent files so i can upload them.
hey, whats the deal with not being able to upload sometimes. usually i upload fine but right now im the only seeder of the ludlows columbus show and theres five leachers and im not uploading. why might that be? and i seeded the kennedys/neilds show and the creeggan show so that my girlfriend can download them off of me, but it wouldnt work. it would just be 'connecting to peers.' and sometimes it does that for me when im trying to download from people, for example, i couldnt get any of those peter mulvey shows for some reason when they were being seeded. can someone enlighten me?
the issue with speed and uploading is usually connected with a firewall. Derek: If you are the seed connected to the ludlows show right now, you're firewalled. That's why your ip/port is listed as such: 67.70.116.xxx:(6884) the number between the ( ) is the port number. This symbolizes that you are behind some sort of firewall. Here's another webpage to look at and hopefully get this fixed. http://userpages.umbc.edu/~hamilton/btclientconfig.html
so.. should i open up ports 6881 through 6889? i notice that most people on bargainville are running in that range, but i always saw 48163 and 59002. would opening 6881-6889 make it work much better?
you know... i really cant figure this out at all. i dont know what kind of firewall i have or how to find whichever information i need.
i opened ports 6881through 6889 and it hasnt made any difference. help?
again i ask... can someone help? (also don't forget about the shows at the top of this topic...please)

I'm new to this whole torrent thing, but as a leech on the Ludlow's show, the message I am getting says: "rejected by tracker - torrent not registered with this tracker". The other two shows I tried worked fine, so I'm not sure what's going on with this one . . . Also, I've finished 87% of the download, so I'm hoping I can get the rest of it. Is the error message something on my end?
nows probably the perfect time to start reseeding some old shows since we seem to have run dry of new stuff to upload and the bargainville tracker is dying. would someone PLEASE upload a few of these?? ill also upload a few shows once i get my computer straightened out (which should be in a few days) although sometimes they dont work properly.
Ya know... this makes me kinda start to wonder WHY you are pleading so much...
I mean, I'm not trying to be a jerk... but come on, we've all gone out of our way to reseed things for you....
I guess perhaps I'm just old-fashioned... and have that whole "community oriented" thing.... but...
*shrugs*
theres been ... 4 shows reseeded at my request, and its not like ive been rude about it.
sorry.. as I said, I'm not trying to be rude either... but... like, you come in here... as not even part of the community.. and post repeatedly asking for things.... in a rather demanding manner.
I don't know... perhaps I'm old-fashioned.... but, I tend to feel like it's good to be part of a community before you go demanding things from the members.

it's just basic netiquette, nate. you're not being old-fashioned.
i was posting here and talking to people months before i ever downloaded a concert. also... most of this topic is me trying to get my firewall difficulties straightened out.
actually, no, most of this topic is you begging people to do exactly what you want them to do. and it just does not work that way.
there were only two posts that could possibly be considered begging. "again i ask... can someone help? (also don't forget about the shows at the top of this topic...please)" and "would someone PLEASE upload a few of these?? "

asking persistently while attempting to appeal to pity = begging.
people aren't obligated to do things for you.
they've been seeded and reseeded, often at your request, and you still haven't downloaded them?
I think you may be confused, though. a good number of the shows you requested, while seeded on the bargainville tracker, do not appear to have been seeded by FHDC members, which means that those of us here probably can't do much to get them back up.
oh, and also? live shows are nifty. but so is patience. I'm sure something else will be seeded at some point. and there's really no point in downloading shows faster than you can listen to them, is there?
He could also ask someone for blanks and postage and just burn them to CD or DVD if he's having such a problem.
:D
Good thing I didn't say Tapes instead of CDs and DVDs. ;)
We're gonna party like it's 1999 ;)
that would have been very 1997 of you :P *still has tons of tapes*
Maybe I should start begging for the shows to be shared that I have on tape...
hmmmmm.....
