Yeah this is all over the BNL Chatter and we are all so sad. They can definitely do humor at concerts and such, but a weekly show? I don't mean to bash my favoritest band, but I don't think its going to succeed.

Well, they only ordered a pilot so far...there's hope.

Law & Order (which if I were lazy I could count for the last three)
CSI (the first one at least, don't like Miami much and haven't seen NY)

Malcom in the Middle

I could name some more if we went back a season/counted reruns.

Lots of crap out there, but that doesn't mean there aren't good shows amongst it.

okay.. and how many channels are there now? i'm curious what you think the signal to noise ratio is.. i'm going to guess here, but i bet for every "good" show there is at least five bad ones (being conservative). So, 18% good stuff and 82% shit. I like BNL's chances, thats all i am saying. and yes, there are good programs on teevee.. and no, not everything that winds up on the discovery, history or animal planet would quality as good. and even if it did, it'd take 10 history channels to make up for one lifetime channel.

Well, remember Sturgeon's Law, that 90% if everything is crap.

So, if it's true that TV's 18% good stuff, then it's WAY ahead of the game.

Discovery Civilizations is my god. Also; the food channel.
Mind you, some of the shows on the food channel can be horrible, but most of them are good.

Well, it means they want at least one BNL "Special," and then if that goes well, they could order a whole season.
