when i play it, i only get the sound... how do i make it work?

You probably need an xvid codec....

That I don't know a lot about.... but most players should be able to just take the codec, which is probably your easiest route.

The video conversion thing is not where my knowledge lies...
All I know is how to make 'em play on my machine.

I've found http://www.videohelp.com/ to be a help when figuring out all of this video stuff. It's the same as dvdrhelp and vcdhelp
