Any north west ohions see black swamp schedule? Just wondering if there are any must sees on it?
well, i'm not in ohio, but i checked out the site, and the acts i'd recommend are: railroad earth, donna the buffalo, and trout fishing in america. there are also a number of brave combo and over the rhine fans here.
They were fantastic at the dance tent too. But keep in mind that this is the same band who played backup for Tiny Tim's verison of "Girl" by Lennon/McCartney. Forgiveness can only go so far.
Don't miss Southern Culture on the Skids. I haven't seen them live but based on their CDs I can't see them not being a great live band.
Wow, there's a thread I didn't expect to see on FHDC. ;-)
I either like or have heard lots of good things about Donna the Buffalo, Brave Combo (who was at FRFF), Over the Rhine, Southern Culture (very funny), Chris Buzelli (local jazz guitar whiz), and Trout Fishing in America (if you're into goofy stuff). Howards is also running a lot of local bands. I can't make it on Fri or Sat. But that's k.
I'll vouch for Donna The Buffalo being pretty good. In fact, Donna the Buffalo and Moxy Fruvous were headliners at Grape Jam on 8/13/00
I'll vouch for them as a dance band. I've danced to them but not sat down and listened to them.
Brave Combo, Over the Rhine, Southern Culture On The Skids, and Trout Fishing in America are all playing Black Swamp this year?
Not fair. Not fair at all. Anyone want to buy a couple of tickets from Maine to Ohio? Um, for this morning? ;-) *walks away humming about dinosaurs* You must first create an account to post.
