Please don't tell me you offered her a deal of "go ahead and try the other guy...I'll wait."...because that just never works. :)

Oh, definitely not. Basically, it just took a lot of patience and I had to help her clear her head about the whole thing. She's basically just sort of curious about this other guy. After a long discussion about the status of our relationship and whether she wants to risk it for a guy she doesn't know, and after clarifying that we do, in fact, love each other, she decided she didn't want to jeopardize anything and she did want to stay with me. I'm very relieved, but at the same time I'm worried. I have a feeling this isn't the last time something like this will come up. Still, when it does, I think we can deal with it.
Oh it probably won't be the last time. College is all full of such obstacles, I hear. :) I just was concerned when it seemed to ick and then is all better and you're a good boyfriend that you were making a deal like that with her. :) Because it can seem all noble to be all "if you love someone set them free, if they come back blah blah blah" but emotionally it's very hard to really be OK with it, no matter what you may SAY. So, yeah...I'm glad to hear you're not setting up that minefield. Not that it's any of my business or anything. :)
