You were good enough. They're just morons.

Interviews are ALWAYS worth it.

That you didn't get the job isn't a strike against YOU. It has to deal with how the person who was interviewing felt that day. Or what they ate. Or what time of the day it was.

USE your experience here and keep looking. Did they give you any pointers or reasons? It doesn't hurt to ask if they'd give you some insight on what you could do next time to line yourself up for the position.

I'm sorry that it sucks so much. :/

yeah I replied to her retarded email turn down and she was like, "thank you for expressing your concerns and frustrations..." I want to rip her apart.

she was all like you shouldn't have depended on this job alone...

the thing is I didn't, until she said "you are just what we're looking for! all we need to do is check your refrences and then we'll get started." yeah I gues I missentirprited it. whore basket.

can I move to ohio now? please?

i don't know how it is in USA, but in canada gov't agencies and non-profit organizations often have to go through the whole interview process with their shortlist (i.e. even if they know they're hiring candidate A they still have to go through the whole process with candidates B, C, D, etc.). maybe they don't know themselves who will be hired in the final stage, all they know is that the shortlist candidates (i.e. yourself) are qualified for the job.

so by taking it to the point that you did you've proven that you are hirable material as far as they are concerned. the fact that they didn't choose you in the end sucks, but you can either blame it on (a) someone with a closer relationship to the people (i.e. married, related to, or boinking someone there), (b) reverse discrimination, or (c) people just suck.

sorry, sucks. what do you do, eh? keep pavement pounding and something magical will appear. karma's gotta be worth something.
