Yay! I have sneakers, and ugly black shoes I work in, but in the summer, I add sandals too.
Heh, Pauley, I think we're on the same wavelength. My first thought was, "Well, one. I own several pairs of shoes, but I only wear one.....you know, at a time." ;-)

Which two depends on teh time of year, with an occassional three.
In the summer it is sandals and sneakers. When it is warm and I"m still teaching it is sandals and shoes spring and fall -sneakers and shoes winter- sneakers-shoes-boots.

I have a pair of shoes.
And if it snows, I have a pair of boots. And I have no idea why I would need more than that ;-) I remember hearing the arguments that in the USSR there was only one pair of plain brown shoes to choose from. That was the one part that sounded good. At long last though, I've found a nice pair of shoes that are comfortable to wear all the time (but look good enough for work) and don't have any designs or anything. If they made canvas shoes with better soles, I'd be happy with those too.

During the winter, I have boots that can pass as casual dress shoes for work but I change into sneakers when I'm at the gym.
During warmer temps, I tend to wear sneakers and change into black dress shoes if the mood fits at work. I tend to wear sandals all year round when I'm roaming around in my apartment building, though rarely outside because of my need for orthotics. So while there are 4-5 pairs of shoes floating around, I'm only wearing 3 with any regularity.

I have...a lot of shoes. Most of which I don't even wear on a regular basis. But during a given week I probably wear 5 different pairs of shoes.
pretty much me too. I went with 4, but now that it's gettin' warm, there's no knowing how many there'll be.

I just don't get it.
I think this is one of the few stereotypically male things about me. I just don't understand having more than two (maybe three) pairs of shoes. One comfortable every day, one work/dress, and one for snow. The idea (for me) would be shoes that cover one or more bases. *shrug* I don't think it's wrong to have lots of shoes, I just don't understand it ;-) I gotta have shoes that match every outfit and season, yo. :) I think it's the only really stereotypically female thing about me. :)

5. 2 different pair of work boot, a pair of dress ducks, both a pair of short and a pair of tall Ugg boots (Uggs Rock!!!!), 2 pair of sandals (yes I wear them even in the winter), and last but not least - during special weeks - my precious New Rock 203's (I am adding their pic to my profile page!)
Yes...and the rest of the sample is either smooshed into the coat closet or in crates in the basement for the more seldom worn. :)

I have several pairs of black shoes that I wear in accordance with pant length. Then there are two pairs of brown shoes, which are worn with varying outfits. My one pair of navy shoes to go with my one pair of navy slacks (and navy trouser socks...sense a theme, anyone?) Sneakers for walking and shopping. Sandals for lounging, etc.
I never thought I'd be the type to own more than 3 pairs of shoes, but then I started working in an office and, well, discovered I'm a "girl" after all!! You must first create an account to post.
