Poll: '80s nostalgia is...

How can there be 80s nostalgia? Nothing cool has happened since Nixon resigned. The good old days were before I invented dirt.

nostalgia is just fun. And since most of us came AFTER dirt, Gordon, the 80s is our nostalgia phase. :) It just brings a joyful feeling to my heart to remember. Yeah, Wonder Woman underoos. Strawberry Shortcake tshirts. (And I had SS wallpaper in my room.) The SMELL of the dolls. The stickyish rubbery feel of the iron-ons on my tshirts. Especially my Mork and Mindy one. OK some of this is 70s but I was a cusp kid. Those barrettes where you braided the satin strings and then had them streaming off the ends. My Little Pony! I remember exactly how those ponies felt, and how their hair smelled.

I remember the Electric Company and 3-2-1 Contact and the Great Space Coaster. I remember Remington Steele nights and how we'd always have apples with peanut butter as our Remington Steele snack. 4 wheeled roller skates. Plastic streamers to stick in our bike handles. Banana seats with big garish flowers.

Hrm. I think I'm going to have to put this in my diary and expand on it. Heeeee. :)

The 80s were awesome dude! I've still got all my Duran Duran and Aha posters. Not to mention my entire collection of vinyl. A few months ago I actually found one of my old legwarmers!! Ah, the flashdance days. :) This place is really cool.

...you gotta love 80s cartoons! :)
