Burning Bittorents to CD -- First Track Static-y

Hi,

I'm trying to burn downloaded bittorrents to CDs and I've done about 4 and I notice that each time the first track on the CD is has static noises in it... this doesn't happen with other CDs I burn...

Is this a wierd coincidence or am I doing something wrong?

Oh, and I should add that the wave files for those tracks sound fine.

what software are you using to burn them?

Try Roxio Easy CD Creator.� I think it's the best software out there.� I use it all the time and have never had problems like that, and I've burned all the torrents using it.� Also, burn at the lowest speed you can to avoid errors.

I haven't had any recent (or positive) experience with Easy CD Creator (like since Roxio picked it up from Adaptec) but some other great software would have to include:
Ahead Nero
Goldenhawk CDRWin
Prassi Primo

Thanks...I have roxio and don't use it because it just gives me an error everytime I try. The burner I'm using was just something I downloaded from CNet and that I picked somewhat blindly...I'll look for one of the ones you mention.

I've made more coasters with Easy CD Creator.

Try Nero.

I burned all my torrents using that and I never heard any static on there. Well actually I heard a little bit on my computer on winamp, but when I played it in my CD player, it was gone.

Nero's also nice because you can download both the SHN and FLAC plugins and record to CD directly from the compressed files... no decompression step, no wasted hard disk space, no wasted time. :)

Coasters from "trying" to burn mp3s.

CDs that would burn correctly but then when you tried to copy them, they would have an error on one track so Clone CD was out of the question to use with any cd I burned using CD creator.

Everyone tries easy cd until it screws them over.. then they get good software... like, NERO.

I burned the wav files to CD using iTunes for Windows (requires 2000 or XP), and had absolutely zero problem.
