TELUS can lick my ass

I got a call that morning from our service manager: "Is the internet down at work?" I paused a second, verifying that the streaming audio was still coming to my computer, and said, "Nope, everything's fine here." Turns out his home connection was offline.

I did get a call later from one of our clients, with the same problem, but it fixed itself when the router was rebooted.

As a loyal Shaw customer, I can honestly say that I've had like no problems with their service. The only time the connection goes down, I get an email like "We're interruping your service between 2 and 5 am on Sunday" or some-such. And they're true to their word. Never an unscheduled downtime, unlike Telus.

Of course, I can't say anything about their customer service, because I've never had to use it...

FWIW, both my mom and Jon's mom use Shaw and both had large chunks of the 'net non-responsive to them. i.e. CNN, medical sites, google.com . It wasn't nearly as bad as TELUS, in all fairness, but Shaw was definately affected by something. Ditto UNBC. I'm sure UNBC and TELUS don't have identical backbone connections, or at least the routing at UNBC is a lot more intelligent and fault-tolerant.

*laugh* but seriously, I'm pretty puter illiterate, so I didn't really understand much of that. sorry you're having some frustration there. can I suggest herb? did I need to suggest it is the real question... anyway... I don't really have a point here... as per usual. *hugs*
