I know I've heard stories about how Philly Fest is nowhere near as fun as Falcon
Ridge, but I just wanted to hear it from someone who was actually there. When I
looked on the website, it said stuff about no playing after 1 AM, no percussion
instruments, and other "don'ts" that made it seem like they've cracked down on
everything that is fun because of a few complainers.
Could you shed some light on this subject? Philly Folk is much closer to me than
Falcon Ridge, and I wanted to see if it's worth it to go next year.
What John said. I was tempted to go to Philly Folk this year, especially, but I'd
heard too many negative stories. So the rumors are true, then?
Oh no way guys! Heh, I stayed up til atleast 4 am. It's more like they say it so
they can cover their arses. My complaints were with the people I camped with.
My friends are very odd people and personalities clash. Drumming rules and
sound restrictions are wholly ignored.
then again, I never went to FRFF, so I can't say it's better or worse. I had a great
time at the folk festival itself. There was juggling (one of my fav things), great
great music, and a really refreshing atmosphere.
DVN was there yay! Umm, i didn't elaborate, but I probably should...check in for
next update. ^_^
*nods*
it's much the way the "no glass bottles" rule is followed at FRFF....
;)
That sounds excellent! Maybe we'll geta group together next year for Philly Folk,
still sounds like a lot of fun! Don't want my folk festival camping experience to be
limited to only FRFF!
