amusingly, I'm the only person I know that ONLY has corded phones. 1.5, really. Not counting cell phones, and anyway I don't use mine anymore. The .5 is because one sucks really really badly. The other one is on a REALLY long cord.

It's not some luddite thing, either - I swear I've purchased like seven cordless phones in my life, but for some reason they never survive in my house. I had one of those ones with a belt clip headset when I was doing a lot of phone talking, but I never did like using it. Probably the rest got lost or eaten or something. I dunno. At any rate, the only phones I've ever had that lived have had cords. I was quite popular during the blackout.
