David Lynch

Mr. Lynch is the King of the Mind Fuck. Towards the end of Mulholland Drive, I was definitely like "WTF just happened here? For an earnest attempt at an interpretation, check out Salon.com's Take. I also got somewhat confused during Lost Highway and I never paid enough attention to Blue Velvet for it to make any sense. Perhaps it's because I started watching these movies at 1AM and my brain just didn't want to function on surreal mode. So, it wasn't necessarily the most optimal time of day to watch a Lynch film.
