i used to do tarot. actually it was more like a silly DOS text-based game when it would draw ASCII graphics for the cards... so you'd draw:

and you'd be like "yes! i drew the 10 of pentacles. awright!"
i think of tarot in the same way as horoscopes. if you believe in them exclusively you're going to find that it doesn't work out for you. but you go through life acting normally with an pre-warned perspective then you'll often find what's predicted matches what happens. whether that's the logical mind trying to rationalize stuff, i dunno. easy to say "big changes coming" and have that come true. it's harder to say "love is coming" and then quibble about whether it's true or not. it is or it isn't.
i think i'm going to go write a web-based tarot script, i think that'd be fun. you'll have to keep us in the loop about whether your tarot reading was accurate
