Hehe :)
What is that show about, anyway? I don't watch that much tv and all I know about it is that it has a chick in it. I know this from the posters. Then again, I think I may have seen like a grand total of around five Buffy episodes, so who knows...when I watch tv at all that isn't TiVo'd, it's usually in the middle of the night and I just wind up with 80's sitcom reruns, Animal Planet, and the many operation/hospital/paramedic/freaks-of-nature shows on the like twelve freaking Discovery channels that now exist for no reason I can discern. Their latest is the Discovery Aviation Channel. It's a whole channel just about planes and other flying machines. WTF? It's about a girl who God appears to in many (often hilarious) forms and he/she gives her missions. And it's also about Joan's family. Dad's chief of police, one brother's in a wheelchair from an accident, other brother's a geek... It's just really well done, the family interaction is realistic, the dialogue is good, acting is great, funny as well as serious. Philosophically it has good things to say. It's probably my favorite show currently. And I don't believe in god. :) And Yeah. I didn't imagine there were enough flying buffs out there to warrant a whole channel. I love Animal Planet though. Especially, I'm ashamed to admit, the Planet's Funniest Animals. HATE the host, but for the funny videos it's worth it. I am forbidden (by Paul) to watch the animal ER show though...because I get so depressed about it.
Mike says I'm not allowed to watch the Animal Precinct or Animal Cops shows by myself anymore because it's too depressing to hear me bawling in the living room, but I do anyway. My poor dog - whenever I'm watching one of those shows I wind up clinging to her and telling her I'd kill anybody who treated her like that and crying my eyes out - she looks at me like I've completely lost it.
I'll check out Joan :) Yeah I'm not allowed to watch those either because I alternate between crying and angry tirades. Because if anyone did any of those things to my babies...*shudder*...dead meat. I can't watch thoes shows either. and mydog KNOWS I've completely lost it. hee. *sigh* but then I get to thinking aout my haylee and how she's always sick. ... how she can't keep weight on... how she dies every time I have to leave her[work, bathroom, grocery shopping] and I wonder if maybe she wouldn't be better off with someone else who's home all the time or that could afford to take her someplace to have them find out whats up with her health[my vet has no idea]... *worry worry sigh*
Zilph - I tried to IM you on this thing but to no avail. I can probably help you about Haylee. Get my email from Andrea if you want...I'm a dog-trainer-in-training (heh) and have become quite the expert on canine health issues over the past few months as sophie has suffered a bunch of her own.
