i'm *so* not putting things in my own words

Discussion: i'm *so* not putting things in my own words

Actually, U2 originally wrote those lyrics. I am aware that Johnny Cash covered the song, but please do not credit him for creating it.

That's amusing. You haven't noticed my attribution style yet?

I'm not listing writers credits. I'm not providing performance details.

--Artist doing the performance (Track title)

For example, if Marilyn Manson did a beatnik version of Hanson's 'Where's the Love' then I'd attribute it --Marilyn Manson (Where's the Love)

And anyone who doesn't immediately recognize that as a U2 song can do the whole self-smacking thing.

Still, U2 was not recognized at all in the tag. They really should be, especially since only the lyrics were listed. If you had posted an mp3 or something, I would not have been bothere0d.

duly noted. understand your perspective. not changing it.

you are correct. it isn't fair to u2. it's an awesome song. u2 should be given credit. but, well, frankly, your comments already do so.

if i leave things as they are then i'm obviously in the wrong and you're obviously in the right. i can live with this. changing my attribution style in this one place would disturb my ocd side more than it's worth.
