Photo Developing

I've been using Snapfish.com to develop my film for a couple of years now.� They can store an unlimited number of albums, and let me share pics with friends (and FRFF '03 is on its way).

But - unlike some other photo sites, like O-Photo and ImageStation, I can't make an album viewable to the public - I have to specifically invite everyone I want to see it.� I find that Snapfish prices are better, though, and since I've already got lots of stuff there, I've been sticking with it.

Now that I have access to a scanner, I could do some sort of "do-it-yourself" type thing, like Web Album Generator - and that'll be even better when I eventually get a digital camera.� Does anyone have any suggestions about anything else?

Also, if I want to get prints made up of someone else's photos that are online, what's the best way to do it?� Copy them on to CD and bring them into a shop?� Upload them to Snapfish and order them from there?

If it's possible for you (depending on where your web space is hosted) I would suggest Gallery. It rocks. You can see it on my site at natertots.com/gallery. It's cool, you can log in to it, and upload pics which it automatically thumbnails, then you can organize them as you see fit.

For my digital prints, I use Adorama, a photography store based in Manhattan.� They charge just 29 cents per� 4 x 6 print and have this neat little print wizard program (similar to Snapfish's, I believe) where you can organize all your photos on your computer and then order prints of the photos you want.� They�also allow you to crop the photo as well. �The program then uploads the photos into�Adorama's servers.��You can either have them mailed to you or pick them up in the store on 18th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues).� I've been very please with their results with its�relatively low cost and quick service.� Though, I think it would work best if you had a high speed connection, as I'm usually sending out hi-res photos to them.
