Ok, so I know some of you video geeks out there are able to record and import live TV shows into movie files. For anyone who can do this, and gets the WB network, could you record The Daily Buzz tomorrow morning? Specifically, Peter Mulvey will be doing a rare national TV appearance on it. :) He's going to play two songs on it, at roughly 7:45am and 8:45am. If you want to earn your good karma for the day, this would be a good start. :) Thanks!
In other words, tape the damn show so I can post it to mulveyfan.org. :)
That, and tape the damn show so I can see it! Damn that whole not-getting-the-WB-thing :)
I can probably do this. Let me make sure that it's going to be on here and let me also make sure I REMEMBER. :)
How certain are we of those times? because if I tape on my VCR, it'll look mediocre but if I tape on my MiniDV it'll look a whole lot better. But the most I can squeeze out of my miniDV tapes is 1.5 hours and I leave for work at 7:50. So I could start it at 7:40 or so and tape for 90 minutes, but that's a small window. You may not get it. When I tried to see if it's on here there were precious few affiliates in new england. check tvguide.com or something.
We do in fact get it. I have set up a VCR tape, and I will ATTEMPT to capture it all on miniDV. If that doesn't work, I can still cap it from the VCR tape, but it won't look as good.

Ok I have it saved as an SVCD at 154MB. Do you want it bigger (DVD)? Or smaller (some other format)?
Let me know. It ain't perfect due to my neglecting this morning to look through the viewfinder and notice that the VCR was showing the channel number and tape remaining time. That and the fact that my cable company sucks. But overall it's still pretty good and the source is at MiniDV resolution.

Sweet, thanks Paul! It's here for you Peter fans. Oh, and for anyone who knows about Osbert Punky and wondered what it would be like to have Peter play to puppets, check it out :)
