is it just me, or does this season of the real world SUCK?! the editors had to resort to an argument over PEANUT BUTTER for some good "drama" tonight....another week it was the oh-so-predictable token ethnocentric-boy. it's just....stupid. paris is being wasted on the imbeciles.
your thoughts?
I've never watched RW and don't care about hte show but I do know that Peanut Butter is important and well worthing having an argument over.
Creamy Rules!
Yeah, but everyone knows they don't eat peanut butter in France... ;)
but it IS available sometimes in *paris*...but yeah, it confused me, too.
I like the original RWs. NYC, LA, San Fran, Florida....what was after that?
NYC, LA, SF, miami, boston, london, seattle, hawaii, new orleans, chicago, las vegas, paris.
i *think* that order is right...or are boston and miami flipped? ummmm....lemme see... NYC - 1992, LA 1993, San Fran - 1994, Miami - 1995, Boston 1996 (that's the one I auditioned for). London bored me because they got along so well. :) I think that's the order. Sean from Boston is running from U.S. Congressman. He married Rachel from San Fran. I went to Rutgers with Dan from Miami, though I never met him. He was very blunt when he toldthe school paperthat the only reason he got on the cast was because he was gay. And from Rutgers friends of mine who knew him, they all said he was a tool, and even MORE so when he got back and KNEW he was reality-TV famous. NY - 1992 is the most fascinating one because it was the first show to do something like the "reality" shows we see today. Which mean that they were working the kinks out. If you thought they were having trouble with finding drama with the Paris cast, you should have seen the first couple eps of NY - 92. It took the producers to - "Oh, wow!!!! We got tickets to Jamaica!!!!" and "Let's have a party where we all dress up completely different to our personalities!" and of course the Eric/Julie show. I think it was the Miami show that did the first "Let's not only put this in a room, but let's have them actually DO something!" And we all saw how that turned out. Isn't there a Real World drinking game out there?
No comment about me sending in audition tape in 1996? ;)
I *loved* London because Jay was totally a great big queen. He was about as convincing as Corky St. Clair in Waiting for Guffman when whining about how much he missed his girlfriend.
He and Mike were *totally* getting it on when the cameras were off.
You are a wonderful person so I'll forgive your bad taste in Peanut Butter.
How about low fat? I actually prefer Skippy and Peter Pan low fat to the regular variety. Smuckers I prefer the unadulterated kind. Hmm, I'm going to have to go with the same attitude I have on milk - if you are going for the naughty bad-for-you foods, might as well go all out. Whole milk and fat-packed peanut butter! But I don't really mix up the brands...I've always been a Jiffy girl myself. Peanut butter & bananas or apples = HEAVEN
Peanut Butter & Company, aka Heaven on Earth, serves The Elvis PB, with banana and honey. Bacon is optional, I always take the option.
I actually like the taste of the low-fat better. I dunno why!
I'll eat most any brand, but I like it creamy. I won't refuse the chunky, but it's not what I'd pick for myself. And yes...the best way to have peanut butter is on apples. :)
I'm required to come to the aid of my people. I thought you knew that.
Can't risk getting my toaster oven taken away... ;-) Have you had almond butter? Almond butter, not yet. But I like cashew butter. It doesn't taste like cashews (but then again peanut butter doesn't exactly taste like a peanut either). I also like the "naturals" peanut butter, where you have to keep it in the fridge and stir it before you use it. When I run out of nut butters I'll have to try almond. Is there walnut butter? Something tells me that would taste wonderful. No comment about me sending in audition tape in 1996? ;) You were young, It was a more innocent time when being on a TV show was a cool, sort of novel idea. This was an era before "Are You Hot?" Far be it from the me of today to judge the actions of another in avastly different time. You must first create an account to post.
