People fighting over your employment with them, doesn't everyone wish they had that problem?
Well, I've had a bunch of supervisors since I've worked there. Same company, but I've been in 4 or 5 different teams/positions. The thing is, sometimes the supervisors don't have a lot of power as salaries go. There's often a cap on how much you can get of an increase when going from one part of the company to another. Usually it's around 7%. (The offer I got this week was 9% or soover what I make now though...If I actually get a counter-counter offer it might get up to 20%!) And when yearly raises come around the most they can give you is also 7%. And if all the people on the team are doing equally well, everybody may get the 7%. So yeah, I'd get a good raise, but so did everyone else, so I'm still way behind. It's always been like that for me. I've gotten used to it. :) I make almost 20k less than some people on my team. Gotta love big corporations. So many people play the system by leaving the company and then coming back for a salary much larger than they could have gotten by normal increases. But I don't have that kind of faith that it wouldn't backfire on me. You must first create an account to post.
