So, to add to the whole describe-your-body-part thing... ;)

What do your hands look like? First up, measure them from the bottom of your palm to the tip of your middle finger.

Now describe them in as much or as little detail as you like! :) Here are some starting points:

Do you have long or short fingers?
Do you chew your fingernails, or have them nicely manicured?
Do you wear nail polish?
Do you wear rings, bracelets, or other jewellery?
Anything written on them? Any tattoos?
Spots? Moles? Warts? Callouses? Hair? :D
Other distinguishing features?
Which hand do you write with?
and... do you like your hands? ;)

Mine are about 7 inches from bottom of the palm to the tip of my middle finger.

I have fairly long and tapered fingers.

My nails aren't bitten but they're very uneven because they break off. I let them grow and break as they wish. I do not impose my will on them unless they're going to injure me. :)

I rarely wear nail polish. I don't often have the time and it chips so quickly.

I have several rings and like to wear them. Always silver. If I do wear rings I tend to wear more than one.

Nope, no tattoos. Sometimes there's writing because my hands become my notepad if I'm in a bind. :)

I have spots...freckles...not nearly as many as on my face though. My cuticles are a mess because I rip them apart. No other distinguishing features. :)

I'm right-handed. I have a really hard time doing anything with my left hand.

I don't love my hands but I like them well enough. I'm happy with non-stubby fingers. And I like the way my nails are shaped...kinda domed instead of flat. Only thing I hate about my hands are how shredded they get when I've been tearing at them too much.

i have really ridiculously long fingers, freckles all over my hands, and short nails (I'm growing them again, tho) that are currently sporting groovy glitter polish from some girl from england. :)

you hands and fingers are almost exactly the same as mine. your index finger is longer and your middle finger is shorter.

I know far too much about our relative hand sizes.

I have a couple notes written on the back of my left hand, one "call john 8pst" the other "kid 4 @ field" no tattos
I have a 1 1/2inch scar on the base of the back of my left hand and a few little marks on different areas of both hands. None of the other stuff, that I can see.
No other distinguishing features.
I'm right handed, but can write with my left hand without a problem, but I don't tend to.
My hands are all right, I'd never thought this much about my hands before. :^)

 I have long thin fingers and nails that I like to keep short. I very rarely wear nail polish-- I always smear it, plus I don't like how it feels.

I have lots of rings but will only wear one at a time. On my left hand because I wear my watch on my right and I feel off balance if my jewelry is all on one hand.

 I have one freckle on my left hand, which is also frequently decorated by ink smudges from the knuckle of my little finger down to my wrist-- caused by dragging my hand across the page when I take notes. Why yes, I am left handed.

My hands are small i know, but theyre not yours they are my own.

they are approx 6 inches long I have three freckles on one and 2 on the other.  I am currently sporting my usual green hair elastic and single surf style leather bracelet bought for me by the rents.  No nail varnish as I always chip it off if I ever put it on and nails are as follows, left hand short for guitar playing, rih=ght hand they do whatever they want.  In a discussion at a barbecue on Friday it was establishe i had tiny hands but my fingers are relatively long. I also always have messages to myself on them themost recent being "probably just hungry" a reference to the Spiritualised song "I think I'm in Love" But emilie you know all this! Post a pic of me if you have one! go on - i dare you!

About 8-1/8" from the bottom of my palm to the tip of my middle finger.

I've got this weird bump on my middle finger where a pencil or pen rests when I'm writing.  My nails and cuticles are all shot to hell because I chew on them when I'm anxious (which is pretty much all the time).

I've got hair on the second segment of my fingers.  I dunno when it grew in, but I don't think I've always had this.

I got all excited, I thought this was going to be a discussion of bridge hands. J

They measure just BARELY over six inches from the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger. Tip of thumb to tip of little finger, with hand uncomfortably stretched, still only 7 1/2 inches. I HAVE STUBBY HANDS!

My fingers are short. My middle finger is 2 3/4 inches long.

I don't chew them as much as tear them with my teeth. I have awful nails that split in layers.

I wear nailpolish almost every day, though it's usually so chipped that you can hardly tell what color it is.

Two rings on each hand, a watch on my left wrist, four bracelets on my right. Usually a hair elastic in there somehere, usually something scribbled on the back/side of my left hand.

A few little spots.

And no. I dont' like my hands. At all.

small, compact and dexterious hands, somewhat stubby fingers and very thick, stubby thunbs (called the meyers thumb, which everyone on my dad's side has). 

Fingernails and cuticles all chewed and torn to hell, middle nail on left hand is ingrown, middle on right hand is getting there.

Mishapen, overlapping nails due to excessive anxious biting. Some nails are okay length. 

Scar on back of left hand from burning myself on the oven a few weeks ago, scars along the right wrist/backhand from cat scratches and bites before that.

medium-size stitches scar on back right hand from tripping and putting hands through glass pane window about 8 years ago

2 small stich marks on middle inner left hand  and 1 on back from when i tripped and fell on a dog and she was defending herself by biting me.

large stitches scar on left pointer finger tip from slicing thru it two years ago.

dry, flakiness occuring, mostly on left hand from dryness and tiny air blisters.

tiny brown birth mark on middle right hand finger. 

Thin wisps of light brown hair on all knuckles.

No bracelets or rings ever. no nail polish at the moment, waiting for nails to grow in if i ever smarten up on the biting.

WHOA.  You'd think from all that my hands are hideously ugly but they aint that bad.  Besides, I can twirl a mean baton and type and dial faster than a speeding bullet so its all good :) Plus, I'm a Gemini and in our lifetime we're supposed to see superfluous amounts of hand damage :). That, and I'm just a big fat klutz :P
