Fruhead Favorite Song CD

   Discussion: Fruhead Favorite Song CD

Now that we are having a Fruhead film festival. Lets try making a Fruhead CD. List one song by an artist that you haven't heard discussed on FHDC that you'd put on it.

Hrm. That's hard. There are a couple of David Poe songs I'd consider. Oh and Joyride by Tribe is always fun. A bunch of This Mortal Coil tracks would be in the running.

"Mickey Mantle" &/or "How I Felt" - Michael Merenda
"The Screen Door" - Humbert

Umm.. any number of songs by Adam Greenberg.
Ditto for a few by Silas Tanner.

Something by Kitty in the Tree

something by The Potatoes

There's a LOT of stuff, really. Anyone want me to make a noho-music mix CD? :D

Oh!!!! I almost forgot one of the most important ones:

"Roger & Mary O'Malley And The Invisible Pirates" - School for the Dead

Adam Hartfield Back · 21 years, 9 months ago

"Rowing On The Lakes of Canada" by The Innocence Mission

or

"Chains" by Marly Hornik

Girl, Take It Easy by the Pietasters.

Well, that sounds like a good idea, but I don't trust your taste in music.  ;P

Fruheads don't seem to be very good at mentioning only one of anything...and I'm not going to be any better.

"Hey Jealousy" by the Gin Blossoms (these guys may get discussed on FHDC occasionally, but I haven't heard/seen it...)
"Arrow for Your bow" by Mike Olcott & Matt Coons
"Don't Call Me Friend" by Tori Sikes

Oh, and "Gulf War Song" by...um....Moping Frogbus....or something like that.

The Bitch, She's Gone by Dow Jones and the Industrials is really all I can come up with. and I don't know if that's ever been actually recorded.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
Maybe Bernie can record it as a solo artist. You'll have to tell him the words though :-)
lawrence Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
I think it only has 4 words. :)
Annika Back · 21 years, 9 months ago

Bandito - The Refreshments
Love is - Geggy Tah
Dog eat dog - The offspring :^p
I'm out of ideas - Annika

Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
So he'll only need help with three of them.
Annika Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
only song I can think of with 4 words is by the Day Glo Abortions, called "Argh, f***k, kill" the only other word in the song is blah. Does anyone else know of that band? I'm beginning to think I'm the only person who's heard of them.
John J. Ryan Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
I know of a song that has just three words:  Minimum Wage.
Eri · 21 years, 9 months ago

This is a brand new one, new album, and I'd never heard the artist til Tony reccommended her to me.

"Amba" By Susheela Raman, off of her Love Trap album. :) I fell in love with it instantly.

I would say "stagger lee" by Nick Cave
Zach Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
Amy and Zac are in town visiting me. Amy burned a cd for me that has "Say Yes" on it. I'll have to give it a listen.
jaye Back · 21 years, 9 months ago
that's good stuff too, but the wilson pickett tune is the one that set me off seeking all the different versions of the story. crazy and stuff.
