A Mighty Wind covers?

no, i know the songs in the film are originals. i still can't believe the cast WROTE them as well as performed them. unbelievable. i literally bought the soundtrack 10 minutes after i got out of the theater.

my question is threefold:

1 - do you think contemporary folk artists should or will cover the songs from A Mighty Wind?

2 - who?

3 - which song(s)?

also, i officially put in a request to sing the title track (at the very least) at the budgiedome!!! :-D

I've talked to the Kennedys about doing "Kiss at the End of the Rainbow at FRFF." They love the song and I think there is a really good chance they will. They love all the Mitch and Mickey songs.

they're DEFINITELY my favorites by FAR, and i would loooooove to see pete and maura do them at frff--or anywhere.

And I loved it.  It will become a cult classic and a film that every Fruhead and folkie should see.   Looking forward to making the BOT's jaws drop when the hear the film's songs coming from the Budgiedome.
