I've been pimping Hedwig and the Angry Inch for years. Who else has seen it? Anybody see the stage version?
mememe! i saw the movie right after it came out, and i saw a stage version in long island, both with some weird creepy old guy. :)
funny I saw the stage version on Long Island with some really cute redhead.
I saw the movie version, and I have seen the Off-Broadway version twice. The first time I saw it was with Ally Sheedy. She was an interesting Hedwig..though I wasn't impressed with her ability to belt out the tunes. So, I needed to see it a second time...this time with Matt McGrath, who played the part with such gusto. I so love that musical! Ah....my favorite song from Hedwig is probably Origin of Love.
Never saw it live but I'm a Hed Head for sure!
I'd post some lyrics but it doesn't look like line breaks are preserved here...
Wow you just keep earning gordonpoints. I saw it wth McGrath and John Cameron Mitchell. Fruvous played a few blocks from the theatre at the Westbeth. I wanted to invite them to see it.
You have to insert the line break yourself in html < br >
no spaces before or after the "br" though.

I saw it live whilst it was playing here in Chicago 4 or 5 times. They had $20 rush seats just before the show. Mmmmm...
i'm always torn between origin of love and midnight radio. i do know for sure that i prefer the original cast recording over the movie soundtrack.
One funny thing happened when I saw Hedwig the movie in a theater for the second time. I was with a friend whose mother had moved to Guam and she was going to visit her in Guam and when we just cracked up so loudly when Yitzak yelled "Fuck You, I'm going to Guam!" to Hedwig. We were the only ones who were just laughing so hard at that point. :) Oh and I love the little gummy bear trail that went down the block outside of the Jane Street Theater. I wonder if you can still see renmants of it.
everyone prefers the original cast recording...especially for origin of love...it's just so much better
Everybody but Steven Trask. He said that the Film Soundtrack finally got it right. What was he thinking? The original cast rules.
My favorite songs are Origin of Love, Tear me Down, and Midnight Radio. It depends on my mood.
well, neal prefers the film soundtrack, too, but that's because he saw the film and heard its versions of the songs first.
Maybe it means that Neal and Trask are really the same person?
Joy- new picture!

I've yet to see the stage show (although I love the movie) However, I found out about a really good group in NYC called God the Band because they played the Angry Inch in the Philly version. Check them out. They're great!
I didn't know you saw Hedwig? I'll have to check out God the Band.

i have absolutely no idea what this is all about, but if i *pretend* i do, can i earn gordonpoints that way instead? :D
You always earn Gordonpoints.
Hedwig is an amazing musical. You have to see the film and hear the original cast album. I saw the movie version its been quite a while since I have seen it. I think its about time to do so again. Thanks for the reminder! :) I haven't seen the stage show. But I -love- the movie. Origin of Love is my favourite. *beam*
