Why is that offensive??

I realize that this wasn't the point of your entry, but I'm curious anyway. Did Jonathan Larson actually die of AIDS? Everything I've seen has said he died unexpectedly of an aortic aneurism, which I am probably misspelling. Perhaps that's just the official story, but it would seem weird to try to cover up the fact that the man who wrote "Rent" died of AIDS...

He had AIDS while he was writing the play, I don't know for sure if AIDS was the direct cause of his death, but it was a leading factor in his death.

Huh....well, learn something new every day, I guess. :)
