the diabetic fru?
*hugs*
Are you definitely headed for the same thing? Lots of diabetics never get so bad. I've had plenty of experience being sick and being in hospitals. If you ever need someone to talk to or some advice just ask. *hugs* Love, Gordon
yeah... diagnosed in march of this year. type 1 brittle. blood sugar levels up n down from like 400 to 28 where I pass out.... shots 5 times a day... nothing seems to be getting better. I've been sick for a couple years and they JUST figured out I'm diabetic. I wanted to kill my primary care phisision. needless to say I'm seeing someone else and I go to boston to see a specialist every other week.
have been for 24 years. and I've gotta say, however difficult it may still be to actually control, it's so much easier to keep track of thing now than it was in 1978. accurate home blood testing didn't really enter the picture until the mid-1980s. before that, it was "match the colour of the test strip" to within a range of maybe 60. plus, the needles they had back then were HUGE and very painful.
