Autorickshaw
--------------
Autorickshaw is a new world music ensemble steeped in the traditions
of North and South Indian classical music, while also drawing from
Western classical, jazz and contemporary music influences. One of
the primary goals of autorickshaw is to bring the traditional training in
Indian classical music, jazz and Western classical music together with
the collective upbringing in multicultural society to create and perform
music that, while strongly rooted in ancient, traditional artforms, is
uniquely Canadian.

Dan Kershaw
--------------
Lyricist and musician Dan Kershaw heads the 5-piece band,
Brothers Cosmoline, featuring pedal steel and hip-shaking country
soul, whose music underpins a literate, brooding revision of the
concerns that used to characterize the country genre: work, class,
love, marriage, faith, longing, and escape.. "Simply put, one of the
most creative, soulful & original country bands touring clubs in
North America today... the twin vocals of Kershaw & Kristin
Briggs created a shiver factor that was right up there with the best
of Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris...with original songs of
remarkable depth, it's hard to imagine any ingredient could
be missing." -Peter North / Edmonton Journal

Serena Ryder
--------------
Serena Ryder has been knocking people out on the concert and festival
circuit since she burst onto the scene 2 years ago. Just 20 years old, this
Peterborough native has a huge vocal range, a remarkable collection of
original tunes, and a fearless approach to performing. Serena's 3-
octave voice growls, struts, scats, and demands like nothing you would
expect from anyone but a seasoned pro. She backs up her strong
vocals with catchy acoustic guitar and expert songwriting. Serena also
plays the mandolin and harmonica. No one would guess by her voice,
musicianship or stage presence that Serena is just 20 years old. Her
casualness and sincerity give audiences a taste of her compassionate and
grounded personality. To date, Serena has released 4 independent solo
albums. She is currently working on writing and recording her next
release -- her North American debut -- due out in early 2004.
