Homepage: | http://www.geocities.com/douville_world | About You: | I recall first hearing Fruvous back in 1992 or 1993, when I was living in London, Ontario. Although I never bought their CDs at the time, I enjoyed the music. (I also recall a radio interview they did with Peter Gzowski -- was it 1994 or 1995?)
Currently, I'm a high school history teacher in Thornhill, and Mike Ford regularly visits our school to make presentations about "Canada In Song". When Mike gave me a copy of "C" recently, I decided that it was time to remedy my "Fruvous deficiency," and went out to purchase "Video Bargainville" and "Thornhill".
My musical tastes are wide and varied, but over the years I have consistently enjoyed the music of Bruce Cockburn. Other than that, I like big band, church music of all kinds (I've been a church music director), the Beatles, jazz and baroque -- just to name a few.
I'm an environmentalist, I don't own a car, I eat a vegan diet, I vote on the left, but I tend to distrust "blinkered" viewpoints on politics, society or religion. |
