FL when "Go to the Moon" ended up on my desk. I loved it, played
it a couple of times on my new music show, listened tons at home,
then got fired. Went back home to New England, caught Fruvous
at the Met Cafe in Providence, and fell in love with the band. I'm
now out of the music industry but I still try to spread the Fruvous
love through my friends and my columns in Boston's Instant
Magazine. I recently began putting together a website. There is a
large section devoted to helping people discover some great bands
they may have never heard before - including Fruvous. I think I
may stand out on among Fruheads for not being a huge fan of a lot
of the same bands other Fruheads often reference (with the
exception of Barenaked Ladies) so I encourage you to check out
my website to learn about a lot of different bands with different
styles (power pop, hip-hop, Israeli rock, and 80's new wave
updated for the 21st Century). I have recently added MP3s so you
can actually sample the bands' music. And sign my Guestbook, fer
godsakes!
Also, I now write a daily column about what is popular on the
internet. It's called the Lycos 50 and you can find it at
http://50.lycos.com. |
