Well there was the time I fell over backwards in my chair and landed on Phoebe Snow's ankle. I was OK but she said she wasn't and had to leave. Now I never confirmed that it was a break so I don't know if that would count.

I've broken my nose.. a toe..

and does it count that I spiral fractured my arm 14 times while dislocating the shoulder and elbow?

This winter, on our way to get Jayne fixed, I slipped on the ice. We didn't have a cage, so I was just holding him. I had enough of a reflex to hold him up, so he wasn't hurt, but the left me little in the way of arms to break my fall.
Anyways, I just felt like the wind had been knocked out of me, so I got up and went on with things.
For a while I had trouble sleeping on that side, but over time that seemed to calm a bit.
Then, one morning, I sneezed and it felt like something had exploded. I went into the ER, and the doc just said "yeah, you cracked a rib. Take two [advil, every four hours] and call me in the morning if it's not better in two weeks.

It was better in two weeks.

Yeah, I said I'd broken a bone. I didn't say I had a good story to show for it ;-)

My nose and an arm. The arm is impressive, though... really!

not sure, but I'm fairly positive I broke my big toe on my left foot.

I never saw a doctor about it, so I don't definitely know.

I do know, however, that that joint is pretty much fused in place now, so I think I did.

gordon, did you know i just broke my ankle, or is this just creepy good timing?
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Not only did I not know, I don't remember submitting this poll. It must have been ancient. I actually wrote in the wrong answer, I forgot all the times I broke my little toe including he time you taped it for me.

And awwww, about that ankle. I'll kiss it and make it better.

i remember taping your toe!

and thank you. it does in fact feel better now. but part of that might just be the vicodin. :)

A brick fell on my foot when I was seven. I was a big whiner as a kid, so no one believed me that it was broken. Walked on it until it healed, and only got X-rays after. There's a weird little bump there now.

And... Carey!! omg what happened??

ouch!

and...i fell down the stairs the other day while carrying a big basket of newspapers and wearing flip flops. i am a genius.

I broke my femur and patella at the same time. I broke my little toe too many times to count.
Bender Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
you broke them whilst running from lauren bacall's daughter, no?
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
You are confusing country club stories. My sister got invited over to Laruen Bacall's house by her daughter at teh country club but that had nothing to do with my broken leg. Different club actually.

I broke my leg running away from two girls that were trying to strip my bathing suit off. I was 5.

How come girls never tried to do that when I was older and wouldn't have run away?

I broke my second from left toe on my right foot whilst jumping over cones on the small balance beam. Gymnastics was not my forte.
Kat Kunz · 19 years, 2 months ago
...because I broke multiple bones at one time, but I counted each individually. sooo. 4 breaks: three accidental, one surgical.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Heh, I thought of you when this poll popped up. :)

I said none, because i fell off my bike on the fourth of july a couple years ago and hurt my arm. I still had to miss camp and have a cast and everything, (actually, a half cast kinda thing) but it wasn't actually broken- somehow i damaged the growth plates in my elbow. (?)
sheryls · 19 years, 2 months ago
none for me, but i cant wait for AJ to tell his story :P that was one naaaaaaaaaaaasty break.
