Weird Al smokes Tha' Chronic?

..this is how rumors get started!

I voted for the pete best version because I wasn't quite sure what to do if my favorite series aren't represented. Like, by giving us an "out" it seemed to imply there wasn't a need to choose between these 4 in particular. :)

So my answer would be the Hitchhiker's Guide books or the Incarnations of Immortality series (Piers Anthony.)

If I'm limited to the above, I have to say Harry Potter because it's the only one I've read.

I thought that was "his dark design." My bad.

Oh yeah, I voted for LOTR, I doubt that is a surprise to anyone.

Thinking about it I really was dense. I mean, I thought about what I thought of as the "his dark design" series. I should have realized that I just got the name wrong. I think I need an intellectual oil change.

The first book, Drummay Jour, which took place over 24 hourse on the small island of Drummay off the coast of Samoa, was a standout.

I absolutely hated the second book, Ringus Interruptus. Poor Pete is pursued by the evil Ringus, a 2-headed 6-nosed monster with inferior hand-eye coordination.

And the third one, A Punchline for the Ages is just too sad for words. To wit, this forum.

I'm disappointed by the lack of George R.R. Martin love up in here.

I'm sorry, they are just the best book series that ever was. Not to say I don't have a place in my heart for Harry Potter (which I do), and LOTR took me three years to read (Fellowship took up two and a half of those years alone), so that's eliminated right away. But Narnia is probably the most imaginative series of books I've ever read. Plus, the Christian undertones are nice, seeing as I'm Christian. ;o)
