I could only add that I would bring a chair to leave in your camp site, or something that could be carried if you visit other after hour campsites and don't want to stand or sit on the ground.

i realize that it isn't updated as frequently as say.... fruvous.com

BUT... cos's frff list implies that cell-phone coverage in the hillsdale area is severely lacking. this is relatively outdated information.

personally, with verizon, i have access nearly everywhere on long hill farm. this is a strong increase vs. a few years ago, when you would be lucky to find analog roaming at $982734982734.98/minute (imagine that in CA money!). then again, a lot of cell providers recently did away with roaming charges.

all in all, most (popular/national) providers should have decent if not pretty good coverage up in that area.

oddly enough, cell reception got better when camp hell-ions started attending. perhaps the metal plates in their heads can receive 900-1900mhz cell bands. harharhar.

verizon works incredibly well at frff. much better than it does, say, in the entire city of chicago.

You're right, Verizon does cover Falcon Ridge. I should (and will) update the list. Last I checked, though, none of the other providers had decent coverage there. Cingular was barely usable in a few corners, Sprint and AT&T were completely dead. This was either last year or the year before. I'd appreciate a new Falcon Ridge cell phone survey. I think I'll try one here...
